It's not really about ethnicity. It's about fanboy apoplexy at anything in such a flawed, commercial medium as a movie deviating one iota from what's in the original sanctified comic book.

Yeah, I think so. I guess the idea that Peter Parker was drawn/conceived in a certain way, so deviation would be screwing with the sacred in Comicbookland. I guess I even understand that, in a way. But I'm not a comic book lover, and to me, Glover would just be a good fit for the character.

Some people are weird about being uber-faithful to the original format of anything.
