Oh Hip Hop, how I love thee. But you're so weak and feeble these days. Lets look to the bright side, the goodness that is still alive and kicking:

Kid Cudi

Lupe Fiasco

Nas

It's artists like these that have deepened my appreciation of hip hop with their solid lyrics.

Lupe Fiasco

I like Lupe.

When he came out with "Kick, Push," I knew he was going to be one of those artists whom I was going to like.

Plus, black boys + skateboards =

:D

Oh is that right? Ya know, I used to skateboard once upon a time . If you like that, then surely you love Pharrell. Dim the lights down baby, just dim the lights!

No Rap/Hip Hop thread is complete without The Beastie Boys.
:steam:
Then this thread wouldn't be complete without Eminem.

What do you mean a disgrace?

And that isn't new Eminem. It's 2002 Eminem. 8 years isn't really new I don't think. Old Eminem would be a disgrace with this topic.

You might be able to remove the last two songs. But the first two are two of the best.

Well, I've never actually watched MTV, so I wouldn't know.

But I don't think Fat Joe and G-Funk would be any more of a disgrace in this thread.

"When the Music Stops" and "'Till I Collapse" is Hip-Hop, and Rap.

I thought that The Slim Shady LP was new too, and that it was on MTV...

Is this any better?:

I thought that it was pretty good.

Maybe you just don't focus on the music, you just focus on what it is....

Thank you!

I was just waiting for you to mention Common, so we can get off Eminem Avenue.

I think that most of it is just weak. It's the same thing done by different people and different ways.

Eminem raps about cool stuff, like fiction/nonfiction, and exaggeration....

I think it's a greater skill than just rapping about what you do and see.

I don't think anyone has said exactly what isn't good or sucks about Eminem.
