Not to be confused with District 9, 9 came out just this past Wednesday and I'm wondering if anyone has seen it and what they thought of it.

I've been wanting to see it because I find the character design unique and interesting (I have a thing for monsters made of found objects and those little burlap sack guys are too cool). However, I've had reservations because it costs a lot to go to the movies now and I'm not exactly flush with cash.

Don't waste your money.

This movie was so bad; I don't know where to begin.

Edit: Both the plot and the characters are as deep as a kiddy pool.

Lol! I little discrepancy already ^

I'm not the least bit interested in seeing it, but one of my closer friends insisted on going to watch it tomorrow for his birthday. I'll report back after.

Alright, saw it last night.

The plot was, at best, meant for children under 10 (or adults who really don't care about glaring inconsistencies and a pretty weak story), but I would consider some of the imagery inappropriate for children of that age. So basically, it wasn't capable of being a movie for adults, nor was it capable of being a children's movie. Granted, the art was rather nice and they did a good job of creating an interesting setting...but I actually almost fell asleep during this film, which hasn't happened to me since Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

I've seen Shane Acker's original short and I thought it was great. I was kinda concerned how the storyline would translate to a major motion picture. I'll see it soon.
