A "band" in Finland is called Paska.
Paska = shit

Paska is also a village in Canada.
Poor them. They don't know that finnish people laugh at their villages name.
I feel empathy for them. :D

I've always liked the Gin Blossoms. The name + history of the band is so appropriate.

Edit: I think we can safely assume emo band names are pretty much the worst. Or at least they are the most pretentious.

The Goo Goo Dolls.

I've always hated names with numbers in them, especially the number 3 for some reason.
311, Three Doors Down, 30 seconds to mars. There are lots.

And, don't shoot, but I never really liked the name The Who. Love the band, though.

I've never been fond of Godspeed, You Black Emperor or Broken Social Scene (though I love the music of BSS).

Well let's see..
worst band name I heard recently was a local band called "Dadfight."
And another one's "Drive-by Bukkake."

They're terrible.. but I can't help laughing at them too...

"Dadfight" reminded me of a band with a terrible name from the 90s, "Gay Dad". I actually dug the album though, it was pretty good.

There's a band called "Pissed Jeans." Ironically, they're quite good, although their name would make you think otherwise.

I strangely love that emo style of band name, what with the participles and mini-sentences and such. Maybe it's cause I never listened to any of those older emo/post-hardcore bands growing up.

There is one kind of band name I absolutely can't stand: anything with the word "wolf," "lion," "jaguar," "rabbit," etc. in them. It just comes off as trying to be spiritual and wild in a really artificial and corporate way. Ironically, it's a lot of indie bands that do this, Pedro the Lion for example.

Limp Bizkit
Slipknot
Korn
Suicide Silence
Whitechapel
Emmure (lol manure)
Taking Back Sunday
Suffokate
Job for a Cowboy
The Village People (I imagine a village full of cannibals)
Cannibal Corpse (why not just 'zombie'?)
U2
Linkin Park (also the worst band ever, possibly, albeit tied with Limp Bizkit, most likely)
Neutral Milk Hotel
Hoobastank
Nickelback
Of Montreal
Apples in Stereo
The Flaming Lips
Any other hipster/scenester band

etc.
