So, according to this article at the link there are six main story arcs, I think I've heard this said before and I would not argue with that essential point, does it make sense to you?
Also, given that this was an article on AI discernment of story arcs do you think it is likely that machines could produce novels and fiction which could not be told apart from human novelists or authors? Could it have happened already?
If that where/is a possibility, do you think Brave New World or 1984 would be the proper analogy? Winston Smith mans a machine in 1984's Ministry of Truth which manufactures "prolefeed", ie mass marketed material, which he describes as a mix of sensationalism, crime stories and porn.
