I'm sorry to hear about your family situation. Yeah, it's probably best to get your finances sorted out first and then after you can try out for community theater. And since you'll be a teacher, maybe you can seek out plays during the summer since you'd probably have more time off then?

Hence my desire for SEASONAL work. Also, my mom is a principle and she arranged the job, but she seems better as a boss than a housemate, as in she gives me more space at work than at home.

Good. It sounds like you have a plan in place, and I hope you enjoy your new career in teaching. My sister teaches, too, but spends her summers hostessing to pick up some extra cash.

I’m arranging some basic acting gigs right now for over the summer. I hope I get a nibble!

Also, I plan to pursue acting full time 30 years from now. I think having some prior experience will help, though, when the time comes.
