No more general ed classes if Donald Trump gets his way?

Hello, I saw some news article showing how Trump was planning to cut budget for liberal arts. Up to 5000000 teachers could lose their jobs. If there can be no professors to teach the liberal arts classes therefore colleges will have to give up making general ed classes a requirements. Nobody can teach them. If trump gets his way, does that mean no more general ed for colleges?

my school does have general eds but a lot of time which ones you take outside of history and english you take a specific one for your major like


i have to take biology for my science, I'm social work.
education majors have to take geology.
so yes it's part of the gen ed core
i dunno.
this isn't going to happen.
why am i talking?
maybe i just like hearing my self type,
