i assume that most people who
worry being taken seriously based on
their clothing choice...probably have
bigger problems to worry about...

but i'm glad there are people like that
out there. my document won't photocopy
itself and the coffee machine still needs

It's all about where you live and where you work. I've been in very conservative job where women at work won't ever have bare legs (hose, or slacks), and the guys would go crazy if anything was outside of those bounds. And now I work where girls show plenty of leg and cleavage is not a rare sight, and those sporting often tell the unwashed programmers what to do. The guys are fine, because in this little socio-economic niche, those things aren't rarities and aren't in false-demand.
