What would your dream job(s) be if you could do anything thing your heart desired?

You wouldn't have to worry about school, training, or connections, etc. :)

Actually, I was just thinking of this ;) I think I'd love to design interactive interiors for night clubs.. graphics synced to music, ambient effects, etc.

That does seem pretty darn cool, I wanna do that too now, lol! You could get super creative with that for sure. My friend went to an out door festival last year, and they had some kind of fire thing hooked up to the system. When ever the bass hit the fire would blow on each side....pretty cool ey ;). Heard it was pretty epic...

Yeah, I've seen those on buildery websites I visit, they do look pretty cool, I've never seen one up close, though. You started this thread, but you didn't say what your dream job is, besides taking mine anyway..

Something where I could work on a highly intellectually stimulating project with little interruptions and no difficult people to deal with.

While I have many intellectual and artistic interests, I would rather nothing more than to wake each day and go to a facility of my creation and train shelter dogs (as well as others) to make them more adoptable.

Hmm....

  • Science Fiction Author
  • Reclusive Actor
  • Environmental Engineer
  • High-Density Battery Physicist
  • Urban Planner (with unlimited funds and a sane local political scene)
  • Space Colonist

The cynical, lazy part of me wants to say "Amateur Golfer (i.e. trust fund brat)" though :D.

That's the plan:) Since many recent life changes I've began to see clearly how important it is to me and how good I really am at it.

I know I'm being vague here but for me, the work environment is far more important to me than the career itself.

TRUST FUND BABY!!! :woot:

You wouldn't have to worry about school, training, or connections, etc. :)

TRUE! And... What Would I Do With all My Money and Time?

I Would Pursue the Many Entrepeneurial Ideas I Have Had in My Head for Years and Not Worry About Finding Venture Capital, I Would Pay the Staff of My Enterprises Exceptionally Well for the Skills and Loyalty, I Would Offer Rich Benefits, and I would Promote a People Friendly/Family Friendly Workplace at Each Firm.

I Would Reinvest the Profits of Each Firm Into My Trust Fund to the Point Needed to Keep it Solvent, and Donate All Other Profits to Charities, Top of the List (But Not a Finite List) Those Serving Children, the Elderly, the Disabled, Single Mothers, and Misguided Youth.

Traveling around the world. All expense payed for. Not to mention no timeline on how long I can stay in one country/city/prefecture/"states"(for a lack of a better term.)

While I am traveling, picking up on languages or be taught the language while I am staying at said country.

Would be so cool to be able to go to Alsace-Lorraine (France), Ehime (Japan), Guangzhou (China), Switzerland, Peru, Taiwan, Quebec (Canada), Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, gahhhhh so many places to name.

Then again, if I can make money just traveling, I would be traveling right about now. The world is too big to be stuck in one continent.
