I was sondering what people's take on free online materials from institutions like MIT and Stanford are.

MIT started the trend...

And now there are many more. Stanford offers all it's seminar course videos online (at least for engineering).

haha, I can't believe I stumbled upon this while googleing open courseware about mbti and typology

btw, does anybody know of such material? it would be fun to listen to certainly.

More than 800 universities have active iTunes U sites. About half of these institutions — including Stanford, Yale, MIT, Oxford, and UC Berkeley — distribute their content publicly on the iTunes Store.

In the Beyond Campus section of iTunes U, students and faculty can access a wealth of content from distinguished entities such as MoMA, the New York Public Library, Public Radio International, and PBS stations.

i do listen to some of the courses online, but my favourites part about it is
the access to all these really cool seminars. great talks by great people.

i'm biased, but my favourite series is the stanford entrepreneurial thought
leader seminars <3 sooooo coool. i also love the stanford hassno-plattner
talks. it's like they just prescreen the brightest and most interesting people
and bam, there you go, an hour filled with some really cool stuff to think
about.

It's super handy for studying, I think. Particularly when I'm unfortunately confused. I shouldn't use it as a substitute for going to class, but enough of my profs are kind of terrible lecturers that it's worth it.

that is pretty awesome only similar thing im aware of, is that amazon has a number of digital text books, good recent ones, for free (for kindle, or the kindle for pc app)
