those objective personality people have been collecting data on various types for a while. the only problem I have with them is that they haven't made their data available to anyone other than people who pay to take their typing course.

MBTI isn't far behind in being mercenary. Much better for knowledge to be disseminated freely in the open literature, for examination and replication by others.

this is why i prefer enneagram now. at least i can just pick up books on it by various authors at used book stores or online. i don't want to have to pay for some intensive, elaborate course to be allowed access to data and knowledge about typology systems
