TORONTO -- An investigational drug aimed at schizophrenia was safe and well tolerated in a phase II trial, a researcher said here.
The drug, a serotonin 5-HT2A receptor antagonist dubbed ITI-007, had a side effect profile that was not significantly different from placebo in a phase II trial, according to Kimberly Vanover, PhD, of Intra-Cellular Technologies in New York City, which is developing the medication.
