For all you synth/keyboard nerds, post your favorite gear here, and discuss why you like them.
(Please don't drool over the synthesizers, water and electricity don't mix.)
To get things started...
Sequential Circuits Prophet 10

Phat analog sound... and has great sawtooth/ filter sweep pads on it. Bits of it can get quirky and sci-fi sounding too. I think that the interface is very intuitive as well. Can program your own patches with ease.
NED Synclavier

FM style synthesis going through an analog sound. It's a bit warmer sounding in comparison to the Yamaha DX-7. There's also the option to do sampling on this beast. The problem is, if you want one of these, it would cost you an arm and a leg.
Emulator II

Gorgeous sounds on this sampler. A lower sample rate gives the EII it's classic gritty sound. It not only digitally samples sounds, but it also has analog filters so then you can customize the sound.
Fairlight CMI

A lot of the sounds in the Fairlight CMI pretty much defined a lot of pop and rock and electronic music in the 80s. 80s style Synth Vox, Orchestral Hits for instance...
ARP 2600

Analog synthesis. Lots of patch cords on this thing, but the way this is designed, it is quite intuitive and good for learning how to do analog synthesis.
But just when you think the ARP 2600 can have a ton of patch cords, look at this bad boy... the Buchla 200e Modular synth:
