Hello there, Typology CENTRAL! How are y'all doing TONIGHT?!?

Looks like y'all are doing great!! What a fine, intelligent crowd we have assembled here tonight!!!
Whoa ho ho there, hold on now, no need for applause; you're too kind, there's really no need. Well, alright... I guess if I'm up here, I should probably say a lil something about myself...
My name is Scott, I am a California kid, and I am officially an xNTJ noob :hi:
I'm probably more of an INTJ

, but I definitely resemble the ENTJ archetype as well

. My tests generally come out just >50% introvert and just <50% extrovert, and I feel like my dominant function (introverted intution) and auxiliary function (extraverted thinking) are pretty well balanced.
However, while I might be slightly more dominantly introverted, I think xNTJ most accurately reflects my temperament, cuz, while a good amount of the time I just want to be left alone in my room to read or formulate/modify my thoughts and plans, I also like to go out with friends and get buck wild

and I have a strong underlying desire and ability to amass and marshall the resources necessary to accomplish my goals in life

(which tend toward equal parts personal liberation

and delusions of global domination

). Of course, they say INTJs are natural born leaders who step up to the plate if they think the current leadership is failing, so this might be used to explain my desire to take action, but deep down I suspect it's more than just that. While I've always felt like a bit of a nerd (I've always had an overtly fond appreciation for encyclopedias), I never felt self-conscious about it, and, more importantly, I was always genuinely proud of my intelligence and
philosophia. If some ingrate had a problem with me or one of my friends and thought they could start something over it

: I was ready to knock their dumbass to the ground

. An alpha male nerd, one might say...
Plus, they say ENTJs are master debaters

, and may God have mercy on your soul if you get into an argument with me...
In some ways this dual nature really benefits me: I have a strong internal sense of self, but I also like to go out and get blasted with friends. But, at the same time, it has its costs: I very easily write off what others think about me (more INTJ), and I can be a complete over-the-top fucking asshole since I don't care (more ENTJ). It seems that people who like me
really like me, and those who don't are pretty much fearful of me (I'm not someone you want to be enemies with). That being said, I'm actually pretty likable and essentially everyone who knows me likes me (although even
they usually think I'm kind of an asshole).
Aside from that broad swath of typical MBTI-related information, there's also everything that makes me unique. One of the things about type theory that I find most interesting is how people of the same type can be so extremely similar in their generalized "type" ways, but so different in their own particular idiosyncratic ways.
I'm also interested in how various type theories (enneagram, MBTI, even astrology...) reconcile with one another.
Beyond those two angles, I enjoy simply developing a better understanding of the types and type theory in general, and I'm most experienced in MBTI, then astrology, and then the enneagram.
But that's enough about me; now about you...
I've been delving into the MBTI via the internet over the last several years, and during that time I've found a lot of good informational sites (my favorite being personalitypage.com - no affiliation), but I ran into this place a few weeks ago, and I've got to admit, I'm really impressed. It's cool to see people broken up into their subgroups (NTs, NFs, SPs, SJs) and how their discussions follow as one might expect them to based on these subgroups (NTs think they're better than everyone else; NFs are a bunch of softies; I don't pay much attention to Ss, etc.), as well as how the various types interact amongst and respond to one another. Pretty unique place.
I was also pleasantly surprised with the quality of the conversations taking place, the amount of personal interaction going on, and, perhaps most of all, with how ridiculously well structured this whole place is.
Kudos to the creator, and to the management, and please excuse my vanity, but I have to ask: does/did an INTJ run/create this place?
Whatever the case may be, well done, sir... (or ma'am). Or persons.
Until finding your site, I hadn't realized the internet could be used for much more than facebook, wikipedia, amazon, imdb, email and porn...
Well, that seems to be enough of an introduction (I might have set a record for most smiley faces used in one sitting), and kudos to you for actually making it this far.
I'll see you on the forums.
