C'mon Jeffster. We know it's all an act. All the porn and the posing is to cover up the fact that you spend most nights crocheting doilies for your great aunt Sally.

    I'm a little confounded, too.

If 2 professional MBTI people couldn't do it with you right there in the room, I don't see how we can.
MBTT isn't that much about behavior.
    It's about thinking processes.
How you take in information, what you tend to focus on, which values you use to make decisions, and how you prefer to order your life.
Js can be messy and Ps can be neat.
Is can perform on stage and Es can need time alone.

There's a test I took recently which I liked because even as familiar as I am with MBTT,
I was unable to skew the results.
    Maybe it will help you.

I always make sure to hide a skull or a Metallica logo somewhere in the doily though.

Just to clarify, the two professional tests I took were administered online; the administrator simply interpreted the results and sent them to me. I've never had the opportunity to speak face-to-face with a test administrator.

I've always pondered whether a J could be messy and a P neat. Would you please elaborate on how this may be?

I am appreciating all the speculations on my type.

I promise to announce the results of my professional tests and the types that I typically test as after a few more guesses.

I can actually field that one. My mom is a messy J. Her bedroom (and other rooms) of her house tend to be very cluttered, mostly with things that have sentimental value to her, because she doesn't like to throw things away. But she is very much a planner, she'll make long lists of travel possibilities, to-do lists, lists of things to bring with her on trips, she'll plan her meals for the week and sync that with grocery trips. She has definite schedules for sleep, meals, feeding the cats, tending to her lawn and garden. Beyond that, she has a mental organization of her priorities in life and writes reminders to herself about things and people that she needs to give attention to and various methods for doing so. All of those to me are examples of "J traits" but they don't prevent her from being very cluttered in her living space with all kinds of her papers, travel souvenirs, clothing, and other items that she simply doesn't place a high priority on being neat with.

When she does clean, she's very scheduled and organized about that too, and she will definitely go way overboard in preparing for company. But eventually, the clutter will return, it always does.

Contrast that with my style of planning only what I absolutely have to and mostly just letting life happen, whatever it brings.

Yeah, it happens a lot. May not be important to a J to have a pretty environment.

Oh, and that question I answered makes you J, probably SJ, and I would've said introvert. I'll say ISFJ for kicks.
