I took a cognitive functions test:

extraverted Sensing (Se)
22.5 - limited use
introverted Sensing (Si)
3.9 - unused
extraverted Intuiting (Ne)
35 - good use
introverted Intuiting (Ni)
50.6 - excellent use
extraverted Thinking
51.7 - excellent use
introverted Thinking (Ti)
51 - excellent use
extraverted Feeling (Fe)
7.8 - unused
introverted Feeling (Fi)
20.9 - limited use

I am having difficulty stepping outside of myself for proper analysis. On most MBTI online tests, I score INTP. Yet, I am unable to identify with the descriptions. I scored INTp on Socionics with ENTp and INTj following suit. I equally identify with the Socionics INTp and INTj. I'm sure I am introverted and intuitive. I'm even open to the idea of being dominant feeling function and not being aware of it. Though, I do my best to recognize my emotions. The rest is unclear. If it helps, I'm an enneagram 5 almost tied with 8. It was literally like one point difference.

Specifically: I also identify with INTp and INTj, but not INTJ in the least compared to INTP.

You're T, no doubt. Could be either INTP or INTJ from where I'm sitting. I recommend ignoring test results and choosing best fit type based on several descriptions.

Your posts have always read more INTJ than INTP to me, but I'm never good at saying why. It's always just sort of an intuitive thing for me.

I see. I appreciate the input. I will attempt to decide based on descriptions since I don't trust my test results.

I wasn't sure what you meant.

I really disliked interning at a law office. I don't care for having to present some false persona to be respected in that type of environment. It reminded me of high school. Cool (normal) kids on one side, everyone else on the other. I am now considering a PhD/MD in Molecular Medicine. Unfortunately, that requires 6-8 years school, 3 years residency, and possibly 4 years fellowship. I am unsure of how I will proceed at this time. I don't want to invest time and money into a career that may eventually bore me.

accept it

i thought i was an ENFJ, and at first INTJ for quite a while
but at the end of the day, combine the 2, and INFP is I

you are you - take this pill and call me when you're sober

oh - and binary code that "symbolizes" a letter ?

I wonder why I keep testing as INTP then. Faulty questions, perhaps.

What do you think of Socionics?

when in doubt, go back to the 4 letters i say. it's the simplest way of identifying your type. how often do you study? do you like making lists? the simplest answer is often the best i reckon.

I also always test as INTP, but I'm sure I'm not, the tests can be a starting point, but don't provide any definitive answers, I've found.

You strike me as INTJ.

Can't say I've ever questioned you being INTJ, you just come across as a rather balanced one to me but INTP is a possibility.

You've always seemed IxxJ to me. The controlled intensity part.

Of course, the letters "INTJ" below your avatar are bound to skew perceptions.
