Agreed, and why do people say humanity is shit ?

What other sentient race are they comparing it to ?

Aside from our he/she teenager Mitzy, who else has said this?

You have never heard other people say it?

You know, outside of the internet ?

I wasn't sure if you were only referencing people on MBTI.

Yes, I've heard my fill of "humanity is the dregs" - most of my friends feel that way. I don't agree. Humanity is it's greatest strength and it's greatest weakness. But, in general, what I see in it is worth fighting for.

I think people weren't specifically refering to act or belief in humanity, but humanity in terms of a species. Ergo saying that our species is shit.

When there is no other point of reference I wonder what people are comparing it to.

I also have a strong belief in humanity, becuse we are capable of great things.

The problem is:

It is like the breakthrough of splitting the atom, do you use it as clean energy for the world?

Or do you wipe the world clean?

I don't think that wiping the world clean would change the inherent qualities of ourselves as creatures, so that would be an exercise in futility. I think dealing with what we have now is the best bet, as we are already well acquainted with our flaws and our strengths. No need to start over.

Do you know what a metaphor is ?

Because that is what it was. I was using splitting the atom as a metaphor for 2 different directions humanity can take.

One: Using nuclear power to better the world (although there is excess uranium)

or

Two: Using enriched uranium to make nuclear war heads.

Honestly come on...

I understood what you meant. Sorry you couldn't control my response as well.
Social skills - work on it.

Metaphors correlate with reality, as you so unnecessarily explained yourself. So I responded in situational reality.

Sorry to exacerbate the situation, I honestly thought you were getting something else out of what I ment, and I thought it was some kind of attack on a belief you thought I had.

But I think we are in the same postion so it works.

Emma Lazarus conceived of it and we broadcast it to the world in true uppity American fashion.

"Huddled masses?" "Wretched refuse?"
