    Default INTP, but maybe INFP or INFJ?

    These are the results I get most since I started studying MBTI.

    Recently, I started to score as INFP and INFJ after a long period scoring as INTP.

    I've already studied the JCF, and, well, I'm good typing others irl but when it comes to myself, confusion sets in... Maybe, it's because I can see the facets of my personality making it easy to happen...

    Someone could help me saying the core differences between these types? It's easy to confuse them, looking from the outside, sometimes (ennegram helps it too). I don't know people irl of these types, only INTPs, making it harder to analyse correctly. I'll answer questions about me too, I'm not writing about me now because I'm struggling to find a starting point and I'm a little tired (and lazy)...

    Any help will be welcome!

    One thought: INTPs have thinking as their strongest function and feeling as their weakest. INFPs are the opposite. If you're having a hard time deciding whether you're a thinking or feeling type, it might be likelier that you're an INFJ (or even an INTJ... there's a lot of INTP/INTJ mistyping) since these types have thinking and feeling as their auxiliary/tertiary functions, closer to each other.

    Do you identify with descriptions of Ni?

    Actually when you posted a photo of your room, it reminded me of mine (except that it was lacking a desktop pc)... Perhaps you are an INFJ...

    That's the tricky one. I identify a lot, with a lot of functions. That includes Ti, Fi, Ne, Ni, Si. I have some Fe traits, but if I have it as aux, it's "filtered", so the Jungian description as I read in "Psychological Types" wouldn't relate too much with my personality. The least functions I relate is Te and Se, my Se really sucks, haha. I don't find it so difficult to confuse INTP with INFP as the inferior Fe of INTPs can have certain form that would make it easy to confuse the types (my INTP friend sometimes tests as INFP beacuse of mood swings, for example). I'll show some traits of my personality below and you can analyse better.

    Typing by room, I like it.

    --------------------

    Let's see here, in a first instance I'll talk about some traits about my personality perceived by me and others (aka internally and externally), feel free to ask, I'll add more info:

    - I'm a real knowledge seeker. When I get interested about something, I'll research about it tirelessly, until I find the truth about the subject in question;
    - I tend to focus on the human side of issues;
    - I'm into arts and science (I know it says nothing at all, but I'm putting it here);
    - Past events (good and bad) move me emotionally as if it occured yesterday. I'm deeply nostalgic;
    - I've been criticized for talking the truth harshly;
    - I've been criticized for having an idealistic vision of life;
    - I have a quick temper;
    - I'm outspoken, and it's hard for me to keep to myself when I see someone talking nonsense/ absurd/ prejudicial things;
    - I worry about my loved ones and friends' problems as they were mine (but not in an intrusive way, it's more internal);
    - I'm super reserved about my private life, I have difficulties approaching others and I require lots of time alone to recharge;
    - I have difficulties to express my feelings, and when they come out it seems a little twisted. I also tend to bottle things up till it gets extremely painful and I end up exploding;
    - I have good written skills. And I love writing;
    - I'm prone to anxiety;
    - I tend not to finish things I start, that's horrible, I'm working on this;
    - I procrastinate a lot, and work better when a deadline is close;
    - I'm stubborn, and I have issues for being reluctant (the best way to make me avoid doing something is to demand it);
    - I daydream a lot, and I'm prone to indulge in fantasy;
    - I normally search for logical explanations about things, but I also like to read some mystical things (not that I believe, but I find interesting);
    - I find it important to have some degree of spirituality in my life;
    - My friends normally ask me for advice, and they say I'm a good counselor (and crying shoulder, hahaha). They also say I have a good sarcastic/ acid/ twisted sense of humor;
    - I love learning about and experiencing new cultures;
    - I've been called an extroverted introvert;
    - I have good debate skills;
    - Sometimes I'm not aware of how I come off to others;

    That's some traits, ask and I'll add further info!

    Hm, caring for others too much, sometimes. Feeling empathy. I don't know, maybe it's not too much about Fe and I'm confusing things.

    Yup, that's what I thought. It's not a defining factor for Fe.
