As a whole I would have guessed 8/9 with some 3/4 thrown in (the very first collage especially just seemed '3' to me -- like, presenting an image, or something) - seems like there is a desire to be more...confrontational/ 'intense'? I hope that doesn't come across the wrong way. It's hard to gauge though whether it's a side of you/ aspiration or how you see yourself. I'm also totally not into the manga 'scene' so don't really know what the characters are supposed to represent; so I may be misreading. Regarding instincts I am not sure; it feels to me you are wanting to convey sx but I'm unsure how much that defines you.

Okay, so I am just getting into this stuff, so I'll do my best.

First of all, the reason I said your first collage looked highly social was because it was literally all a representation of a person, and more importantly, a person sustaining eye contact with the viewer. Social is about connectivity between self and others, a relational space. If you contrast your first collage with any of mine, you'll notice that even when I do use depictions of people, there isn't a sense of connectivity. Eyes are usually looking down/shut, or they are peeking out from behind as if to suggest a disconnect, or they are engaged with the viewer only through a mask, which represents a separation of self and other. There's more an element of "look at me" in your collage, and more an element of "don't look at me" in mine.

Moving on to those above, the first one is still So/Sp to me in that there is a feeling of singularity that is feeding into a desire for social connection. This one also depicts a sense of woundedness and wanting to be seen for that, and also being recognized for overcoming that brokenness. In short, there is a 4-ish quality flavored by So recognition and sympathy, and Sp preservation and strength.

The second one seems to be a representation of how you relate to love and relationships? There is depiction of fire and ice, timid and smug. It's still seems social because it hasn't lost it's element of connection to the viewer, but I think that mostly comes from the fact that it is anime, and therefore a character meant to be viewed. Now that I think about it, Anime itself seems kind of social because of this. You also placed the rose at center, as if you are presenting it to the viewer, or imagining it presented from another to you.

The next collage is airy, distant, earthy, ethereal, and dark. Earthiness is associate with Sp, as is the sense of alone-ness. Airy-ness is associated with So. The distance here represents your withdrawn nature, and your observation of the wonderment of the cosmos is rather 5w4/4w5, but because of the sheer darkness of it (as opposed to a representation of pain or sadness), I'd lean 5w4, but take that with a massive chunk of salt.

The final collage mirrors the separation associated with Sp, 4, 5, or possibly 9; the earthiness associated with Sp; and a pained darkness associated with 4w5/5w4.

Although many of your choices are intimate, I wouldn't say anything struck me as brazen or inappropriate the way that Sx likes to present. There weren't any elements of overt sexuality, reproduction, or heat (save for your singular image of fire, which I think is more representative of your emotional undercurrents than actually being a source of fire).

I mostly get hints of 4, 5, 9, and 8. I think 9 > 8 because of the airy, peaceful, and ethereal quality of your landscape choices.

This is really interesting, But I guess you two caught me in that a big part of the collages is me presenting how my friends generally say I appear, instead of myself. The collage(s) are not really 100% myself, but it's very interesting to see what you gleaned from them. I really love the interpretation, I am really interested in these kinds of things.

cascadeco, interestingly, that's why (?) I considered sx before. I was never really able to explain it in words but there is something in me that feels rather sx, but comparing myself to other sx individuals, looks like I'm 'obviously not sx'. I didn't think that'd come across, very interesting. Then again the manga boy I used is a very sx, soc-last individual. I ended up characterizing him more than I characterized myself tbh.

Peter, I haven't done yours since I was very sleepy earlier, will do after I take a good look at it. Thank you for the lengthy interpretation. Love how you did it collage by collage, because each feels like a standalone piece with an overall message, so to speak, so having you catch that was amazing to read.


Maybe one day I'll make collages that are 100% me. The problem is that in their own way, I think they are too revealing. Or maybe we're just master interpreters.

It's difficult to separate how well I already know you from the images, but I'll try anyway. There's a certain image focus in the first you posted so 3. There's a restrained heat, and a calming observer vibe, 8 and 5sp. I see Ni (I think).

I didn't expect 8 or specifically Ni. I think 5 will always be a given with me. Thanks!.

Also the layout is beautiful. I wonder if the symmetry may reflect J.

Thank you! Funny, I actually get this very often. Yes, specifically in relation to MBTI J.
Me organing things tend to be very 'boxy', 'clear', 'symmetrical' and my friends joke about what a J I am. (look at me soc-ing around the place mentioning friends)

5, 1, and 6. I am not exactly sure why the 1, other than there seems to be a sense of balance and order, symmetry/perfection/elegance.

Typically I would associate the darker themes with 4, but they strike me as different in feel, hence 6.

I think it was more process of elimination tbh. I didn't see any 7 (or any positive outlook for that matter) and I didn't really see the kind of darkness entailed by a 54 combo type. 6 seemed plausible, since the idea of attachment could come paired through the theme of loss, loyalty, and passion (the more relational aspects of this collage were presented with a certain duality that could relate to the sx "you and me against the world" sort of montra. The revolution aspect, as well as the grumpy depiction of a kind also can be related to the cp6 nature in a way.

Also thank you much for the detailed description, very good analysis.

Outside of the obvious, there's a withdrawn and sort of passionate air to the images you chose, and the spacey theme sort of hints at a union/merging of one with the universe or another as a whole and the longing to not be alone even as the focus departs, which really hits the sx 9 description Perhaps a bit of 6 in the way it seemed somewhat attatchmenty. Your second hints at a 9-4 combo, the sort of battle between disappearing and "drowning" in life and emotions and still maintaining that sort of aesthetic serenity and positive outlook (I think the one that pushed this the most was the sparkler being held among the ocean image). The third was distinctly 4, focusing on the esoteric and depth of feeling, as well as solitariness. I got this feeling from the other collages prior two, but there's a certain withdrawn/solitariness that hints at the presence of sp. Your personal pictures create a bight, sunny, and serene sort of atmosphere, presenting nature and surroundings in a warm, aesthetic, and positive way, I'd go 9 again.

So overall, either 9w1 or 4w5 with a small hint of 6w7 (in the sense that it doesn't seem intensely 5 to add on to the wing on the 4, but positive outlook did seem to be strongly present). The focus on feelings, relationships, and attachment also sort of hint towards a high Fi presence, design and the "matchiness" of this as a Si thing, so INFP works well.

The overall air of your collage is positive in nature and focused around the obtainment of knowledge and exploration, which fits both Ne and 7 quite well. Still, there is a more "reserved explorer" vibe to his, as the color scheme is relatively diluted, and also this seems very bright/poppy and as previously mentioned, positive outlook. So perhaps 9 > 7. This design in general sort of plays at sx blindness in a way, probably in a so/sp way.

Didn't get much of a read for your heart fix on this one, my bets on 9w1 7w6 xwx so/sp for this one, ENFP.

Edit: So until I looked at lumi's response to your collage, I didn't realize that I missed the top row of your collage lol The top row really enforces the presence of the 7, so I'd almost put the 7 in front of the 9 now lol. Looking at everything as a whole together, there is a sort of background withdrawn feel, so perhaps a low grade 4 presence is plausible?

I get lots of 7 and some 9 from this. One thing in particular that strikes me is the repeating theme of multitudes—the fish, the sushi, multiple books, multiple hearts, multiple lights, millions of snowflakes. The whole world. (Sevens: “the world is my oyster”.) It gives a sense of diversity and abundance and joy—my thought being that these are 7ish values. “Imagine” is something quintessentially 7—visionary, uplifting, head-based.

The guy in headphones and the cup of tea make me think of 9 somehow—down to earth, comforting, reassuring. Also, something Katherine taught me is that mainly 2s and 9s use images of hearts.

I’d rule self-pres—I know I do for everyone, BUT the food and comfort and sense of the physical, bodily experience of life I get from this is what make me think this. Maybe sp/soc? Often those with soc higher in their stacking tend to select images of the world.

Like everyone’s saying, the first one is sx. Not just the “pair bonding”, heart-on-a-stick obvious stuff, but in other ways too. Merging with the cosmos. Divine union is prominent. Water (Jung classifying water as symbolic of the unconscious; the self-searching inherent in this; breaking the barrier between water and air). Breaking barriers in general.

The second series is…harder for me to determine. There’s an emphasis on solitary young women in contemplative or soulful poses—I don’t actually know what this means, but it’s duly noted. In all but one or two, water again plays a role. In this case, they’re often either floating or drowning—both would seem to me to represent a kind of oneness with the water, riding the waves or surrendering to them (sometimes that’s the same thing).

I don’t claim to know what the 3rd one means either. I do notice there’s an emphasis on “gothic” imagery toward the bottom—bleak landscapes and ravens. The heart imagery, like I said above, is mainly associated with 2 and 9.

The photos you took—I notice lots of emphasis on trees and nature. No pictures of humans.

I don’t normally like to assign a tritype as I’m increasingly believing that the core type is the main thing to look for, but in your case, I’m getting such a clear read on 4 and 9 both. It’s hard to tell which, but I feel like the “dark” imagery is somehow subordinate to a certain “fairy tale” quality—fair maidens, forces of nature, epic crusades, poster art, and the cosmos. There’s a “global” theme—not in the social sense, but in the sense of unity—depicting the 4 seasons, the earth, the oceans, light & dark, etc. Union with nature and the cosmos seems to take precedence over emotional experience.

Also, I said to some others that other themes seem to feed into self-pres…I feel like in this, self-pres themes feed into sx somehow. Like animals and nature and the physical world are used to illustrate something about sx (i.e., union), rather than, say, sx being used as part of nature (Peter D’s images being a good example of that imo).

I also noted the butterflies in the first collage. Also dandelions, bubbles, things that float and fly. That is very typically associated with 7.

And, a high level of Si/Ne throughout.

So, I’m going to rule these collages sx/sp 9. 947 tritype.

I got 9 from this, for reasons often similar to what I said for Luminous above. Lots of soft colors, lots of nature themes, lots of haze and mistiness. Lots of fluidity in the lines.

I felt like a lot of what people were saying is sx in this was sp. It seems like hanging on to a cliff and diving into the ocean could be related to the more “reckless” side of sp. Holding on, the suspense, and the tenacity. And like I have said in other responses, the emphasis on the physical world. The comfort of the books and plants. Etc. The sx is still there—the image of the yin-yang shaped lovers, the little girl so totally and utterly into the music, etc.

Sorry I can’t make this further in depth. That’s just what I got. Collage is self-pres 9??

Fragments of what I see:

Compartmentalization. Respect of space. Quiet distance for observing and being within range but not too far or too close. Intimacy sought but there is an edge to it. Solitary concepts are embraced but a feeling of self containment almost tortured punishment and yet embraced. Push pull of wants and fears.

Feels like the battle between sp and sx for domination.
Feels like the dance between internal world of vision and the external world of agendas.

Enneagram possibly some 9 and 4 and perhaps 6.

I'm thinking 7. Sx/soc? Let me justify it.

I say 7 due to the color and diversity and vibrancy of your collages. Peacock feathers, butterflies, phoenixes, rainbows are all imagery that 7s choose, and you've exhibited most of these in these collages. "Are you in a hole?"--makes me think of the 7ish fear of being stuck, trapped, stagnant, or in a rut. You've used many exotic/bizzare/"cool" images--the sorts of stuff that 7s tend to like. Rebellion and freedom seem to play into this, too.

There's a level of spiritual seeking that I associate not only with 7s (and 4s for that matter), but also with the sexual instinct--yin yangs, astrology, tarot, ankhs and oms, lotuses, hands of Fatima, imagery of divine ecstasy, etc. could all point to a need for divine union. There's a cosmic and psychedelic feel, with some minor sexual imagery and certain "intense" themes--e.g., a bleeding heart, death, fire. I notice you've featured lots of people--I'm too backward to actually know all the films,* but I wonder if the people combined with the sense of multitudes is indicative of social? Hands featuring into collages is often associated with the social instinct.

There's an underlying theme of the "stellar", the heavens above, and the psychedelic. Overall, these collages make me think of what Naranjo calls "extraterrestrial, out of this world" in relation to sx7s. I'd also be willing to bet a 4-fix was likewise involved in the creation of these--how could there not be?


*I think I see something from Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, Clockwork Orange, and maybe the Cabinet of Dr Caligari...also that one cartoon where the moon gets hit with a missile. Damn, I forget what it is...I've seen it though.

I see a lot of 7 (wow, that's a lot of color, and the lack of straight lines, the themes, the patterns, birds), sx (fire, intensity, putting on a show), 4 (intensity of feeling in general, including darker themes/unhappiness, seductive looks of full front-looking faces), 5 (eyes... so maybe 4w5).

Again I see 7 (the playing cards, the cotton candy, the arcade, the incredible red sheen to those cherries), and 4 (the darkness of Game Over, the rain and crashing moods). The tree photo looks very fairytale-esque, which fits 4, 7, and 9. The arcade and tea also fit 9. I think sp/sx because of few people, but the people there are alone and intense.

The elegant patterns, coding, numbers, symmetry all point to 5 to me, and the people are engaged with interests, in peace, which seems very 5sp. I think 4 is visible with the colors, like the blue of the rose, because it reflects a depth of emotion behind the seeming calm.

I'm thinking that the expressions on some of the faces are 5ish, though the symbols and the colors give me a 6 vibe, along with the piece in the upper right. Very sx with the eye contact and intensity of color. I want to say it's also giving me a 3ish vibe because of the background. Sorry I don't feel this was a great analysis, as it was largely based on vibes.
