I made him take the test at Human Metrics, but I disagree with the result... So here we are.

-in college he was in a fraternity--partied a lot and was very social.
-is charming and a bit outspoken, even when meeting strangers.
-does not like to be alone
-when is feeling a bit saddened, needs to be around girlfriend or friends
-when he feels emotionally broken, disappears for a week on a trip
-very stubborn
-impulsive
-does things on a whim
-very traditional and takes rules very seriously
-family life is very important
-often second guessing himself
-worries about the future
-feels uncomfortable around me sometimes because he can't "read" me
-worried about the well-being of others
-feels as though he has to take care of everyone and their needs
-reminds me of a "caretaker"
-likes to rescue animals and to love and take care of them
-has a degree in engineering
-is a programmer
-is very good at and loves science and math
-is kind of hard to read; my brother is an ENFJ and doesn't "get him"

That's all I can think of for now...

I think maybe ENxx? He nearly scored a 100 on J, so... Hmm...

They're like Js, but still impulsive.

ENFJ

They're like Js, but still impulsive.

I agree. I guessed ENFJ earlier in the day and I think it fits him better. I don't know how he scored INTJ. I know that he is a loner, but after he told me he doesn't like being alone I would never list him as an introvert. And he's too much of a people pleaser to be a T, I think.

How about ENTJ.

They aren't always harsh and evil, the male ExTJs can very much take on the role of "the patriarch" and it's a bit of a power trip at times and not quite like being in a nurturing role. ExFJ is more like stereotypical mommy. ExTJ is more like stereotypical daddy. That's the way I think of it, sexist as that may sound.

My ISTJ grandfather very much felt it was his duty to take care of everyone, but he did so in a very emotionally detached sort of way ... like he wanted to provide for everyone, he was definitely the stereotypical patriarch.

TJ "nurturing" is more like "I got this" or "I'll handle this."
Read between the lines: "I am in control." It can give one a very safe feeling.

There are a couple of ENTJs on this site who seem sort of "daddy-like" from things they say and do. It's sort of a heroic thing for them, I think. Not to say that it isn't genuine loving and caring - because of course Ts love and care for people just like Fs do.

It's fairly obvious that he's Fe dom, so ExFJ is immediate. I'd say S over N, he seems much more practical and conventional, so ESFJ sounds about right. Any other additional information you can provide on any possible N/S traits?
