Yes, I don't know what is my enneagram type. I've tested, many times and alternately 3, 4 and 7. I still don't know which one is it.

I typed as 4w5 today. I've always done okay in that region but never had a consistant result before.

What's a 4w5 normally like?

I'm confused because I seem to be all over the map. Any perspective would be great - thanks!

I've tested in the past as a 4w5, more recently as a 5w4 and now as a 6 on both of the EE tests. I'm creative but don't identity as the bohemian artistic type that 4w5s are supposed to be. I'm more investigative like a 5 and I'm a hermit. I find being with people draining, although I don't mind people. I have some identity issues due to a crazy childhood.

I'm an INFP apparently, and in the past (15 years ago) I tested as an ENFP and was much more outgoing than I am now (probably because I've realized I find people to be pretty draining).

Sorry for bringing back an old thread, but I'm pretty new to enneagram, and what is this thread if not an invitation to ask for help?

As I indicated in another thread, I'm certainly either 5w6 or 6w5, with a healthy dose of 1w2 in there somewhere. I identify slightly more with 6 than with 5, but I test slightly more 5 than 6, and although I lean toward 6w5, it's close enough that I'm not really sure. How big a difference is there between 5w6 and 6w5, anyway? I really don't know. I'd appreciate insights, or even guesses, and I'm happy to answer questions that might point me in the right direction.

Test results included below, though I don't what they'll tell you that I haven't already.

---
I took an enneagram test 2-2½ years ago that said I was Type 6, though I don't have the results beyond that. The results below are recent.

Well first off, identify if you are a Heart or Thinking type. They are vastly different. Here are the descriptions of the Triads-

http://www.typologycentral.com/forums/enneagram/25141-triad-definitions.html

Here is a short 4 vs 7 description-

4 vs 7: Sevens have a blind faith in the future working out for them unlike fours. Sevens are more future-oriented and fours are past-oriented.
7 vs 4: Sevens have a blind faith the future will be better for them and always seem to be avoiding something to fours.

Here is a really long description of it-

i think i'm becoming more 7ish? or I'm just developing my 3 wing and becoming more of a planner/ambitious type.

I'm very self righteous. does this help? lol

Tests don't really mean anything if they give you a result that isn't true now do they? ;)

I don't know much about the Enneagram, but FWIW, you, and other 4w3s (like stepho, and.. I forgot her name... she's an infp here.. ) have similar avatars.. There's something very colorful/flower child like about all of them. Or to put it a corny way, kind of "magical" :D Could be a coincidence, but I think 4w3 is usually described in those terms.

wheeee! I love magic =]

and I know who you're talking about & i see what you mean lol

I almost wish I was a 7 though, they seem to move on better, detach more efficiently, while I'm over here writing in my diary lol

I relate to 6w7 and 7w6, but i dont think much... its all about feeling...

You are either lighter, or posting fast / keeping some thoughts to yourself when you post. Maybe.
