First I'd put you in the NP area.

The random connections to everything and the range of interests (no specialisation) seem very Ne dominant. Though a few parts seem more INFP or maybe INTP.

If you want a starting point, look through the descriptions for the four NP types. Maybe start with ENFP and ENTP. If they seem way off, then maybe I've misinterpreted some of the points.

ENFP, ENTP, INFP, INTP

I'm inclined to reject the premise I'm an extravert for several reasons. My natural default is to be antisocial and small talk bores me. I seek out people when they have new information on a subject or mutual interests. Quite frankly, I'm stuck in my head most of the time and people have a very difficult time relating to me. Also, I spend a lot of time reading and will pull out a book in large groups if I don’t find anyone very interesting.

Perhaps it would be beneficial to explain how some of my interests intersect. I'm an international studies (concentration Latin America) and Spanish major. Writing, Political/Economic Theory, world views, news, and philosophy are all activities that fall within that specific focus. Also, I'm a history buff.

Science and music are secondary to me, but I enjoy the theory and pattern involved. I pick up very easily on theory and concepts. These are my guilty pleasures. Music is my escape and a way to stimulate my brain. I'm fascinated by the organization observed in the natural world and the theories that develop from those observations.

Would you say you are a definite T? Are you more people or theory focussed? ie. what is the underlying motive when you read? Is it just to learn, is it seeing truth, or being better equipped to help people, etc.?

This is surely not the best method for typing - a list of traits. I say just talk about people or tasks, your interests and hobbies (most importantly, why are you interested in them? What is it that draws you and appeals to you about them?), and your interpretation of such. Life priorities, how you think, how you are communication-wise, just write a good few paragraphs about yourself.

When you're in a group, what are you focused on (the atmosphere, emotional expression, exchange of ideas, productiveness, etc.?) What is your typical group behavior, and how'd you like groups to be and behave (small size, emotionally subdued, spontaneous, disorganized activities, etc.) Least favorite group behavior?

Yeah I agree, talk about this. Then we can get a better idea of your type.

Given how I can relate to over 80% of that,(although not as much on all of the activities) I'm going to take a guess and say INTP with ENTP kept closely in mind.

Noted. When exams are over, I'll provide additional information.
