Generic typing question:

Which is most accurate in determining type - focusing on the top function (or 2), narrowing based on most likely temperament, finding the closest match in the role variants, or simply taking it letter by letter?

Functional, any other way is stupid, in my opinion.

What if...

you are typing an individual who is clearly introverted and their top two functions are - I don't know - Ne followed by Fi (or Se-Ti, whatever). Would you type them ENFP (or ESTP) even if, on the face of it, it seemed silly?
