    I don't know, maybe the former. The MBTI does a pretty good job of explaining Intuition vs. Sensation, so it's not that. Introspection vs. Observation sounds closer, but I still think it's a pretty good example of Extroversion vs. Introversion.


    As a side note, I could barely talk at age 4. This is what I would have been like as an 8-year old:

    Mom: Stop running around.
    Me: *runs around*
    Dad: *laughs*
    Mom: Stop laughing.
    Me: yells at the top of his lungs
    Dad: You will get punished.
    Me: So what? *Continues running around*

    Well introspection vs. observation is just Keirsey's version of intuition vs. sensation. He also says that the more active portion of the Idealists' and Rationals' brains are at the front (right, or left, don't remember how it's distributed) and for the Artisans and Guardians, at the back.
