Person 3 sounds like an INTP with well developed Fe. Can't image he enjoys living alone. Introverts need a place to escape to every now and again. Sometimes that need to escape keeps them locked away for an extended period of time.

Just as I suspected, I'm getting answers all over the place for Person #4.

Well I'm going to go against the grain here and say ESFJ for friend number 4. I'll try to break down my reasoning such as it is.

    Strong presence of extraverted feeling:

    true nice guy
tolerates being the brunt of many jokes (anecdotally, my ESFJ brother is quite often the brunt of jokes)
    pretty much a people-person
    outgoing conversationalist

    Evidence of being SJ:
an extrovert who does very well in school
    plays quite a few sports
    focused and diligent
    intelligent
    discreet

    Evidence of extroversion:
    many friends
    social, outgoing, people-person

As for the getting hurt frequently, my brother gets hurt playing sports and at his workplace all the time. I don't know anyone else quite like this, and I've known a lot of guys. He's also into rock-climbing.

Your friend seems to have a sensitivity and social intelligence at the forefront that denotes a preference for Feeling.

ESFP is also a possibility. I am not sure about tolerating being the brunt of jokes. ESFPs can be a sensitive lot due to that introverted feeling. But he could be ESFP. It's just that the ESFPs are more intent on becoming the center of attention somehow, even when they aren't consciously aware of it.

Hmm... yes, thanks, I could definitely see ESFJ as a possibility. I defintely think he's an E and an F. He sounds more like an ESFJ than ESFP actually.

Yeah, I think so too. Out of curiosity, what do you think for Persons #1 and 3?

I don't think 2 is an INFJ, she seems exactly like someone I know, but really can't quite type properly, and she's probably ISFP.

4 is exactly like my brother from that other thread , and I just read that profile, it fits quite nicely. ESFP sounds horribly wrong to me, and ISXXs tend to seem rather extroverted

I can't see #4 being an IxTx. I don't know, the guy is super-nice. Is the dude you know like this? Person #4 just seems extroverted too, the only introverted type I could see him as is ISFP, nothing else. But I think he's ESFx.
