By this rationale, only Fs can rhetoricize at length regarding what they thing is wrong with their lives.

In cases like this, the subject is required to be feelings, and therefore feelings will be discussed.

Okay, I see what you are saying but I still think the person is an Fi. He did say that most of the time he does not express his moods, although he does feel them. Characteristic of Fi, which would leave him at either ISFP or INFP. He's definitely introverted, and seemingly a P as well, based on his work habits. ISTP's and INTP's have Fe.

Did you miss the whole section where he describes the positive relationship between how he feels about himself and what others think of him? In MBTI jargon, I'd think that was Fe manifesting itself in an immature way. And are you really saying that Ts neither express nor feel emotions (even internally)?

INTPs and INTJs aren't any less reserved emotionally than INFPs or ISFPs. I would guess more, myself.

And I don't suppose it's either here or there, but INFPs and ISFPs ain't Fi dominant. I proved it (sort of).

Correct me if I'm wrong but according to a few sites I've looked at, both types are Fi dominant. Here's a quote from Wikipedia:

Dominant Introverted Feeling (Fi): INFPs live primarily in a rich inner world of emotion.

    Also, for ISFP -

    Dominant Introverted Feeling (Fi)

Eh...I don't think Fi dominant. All of his emotional analysis, and talking about moods, is simply indicative of someone who is very self absorbed at the moment, and into self discovery and figuring himself out. Also, as Flak mentioned, he's not the healthiest of individuals at this point either. And just because a certain type isn't 'supposed' to have Fi in their top 4, doesn't mean they don't experience emotions and assess them. (also as others have pointed out, *everyone* has emotions, and the emotions themselves are not indicative of the cognitive process which is Fi.)

From skimming all of it, I'd guess INTx. INxx for sure, and based on some of his commentary on interactions with people, and other various things, I don't think INF.

The Fe seems week to me, though. Like it's not the outward driving force, but rather something annoying in the background.
