Resetting your lost password so you can log in again.

If you have lost your password and cannot log back in, these steps will help you.

Step 1: Click on the “log in” as you usually would when coming back to the forums. It will take you to the screen shot in Step 2.

Step 2: This is the screen after you click “log in”. Click on the word “here!” to get a new password. This will come in an automated email.

Step 3: Type in your user name and the password from the email in the fields indicated.

Step 4: Then click "log in". You are all set!

    Scrambling your password

This is for times when you need to limit your access to the forums. You can change your password to a jumble of characters you will never remember and then log out. These steps are similar to the regular password changing steps.

Step 1: Go to “Email and Password Settings”

Step 2: Type in your current password in the indicated field. Because you cannot copy and paste from the "New Password" to the "Confirm New Password" fields, I recommend opening a word processing document to type up a scrambled list of characters. Then you can copy and paste it into both “New Password” and “Confirm New Password” fields. Then click “save changes”. Something you cannot remember like: bih874HP@IHFF$V# works best.

    Step 3: Log out.

When you are ready to come back to the forum, you can follow the steps in the Resetting your lost password so you can log in again. post, which should be visible in this thread even if you are a logged out guest.
