Default ...the voyeur finally stepping out of the bushes for a quick and awkward hello.

    Hello.
(I wish I could leave it at that.) This brings me back to gradeschool when our teachers forced us to participate in strange ritualistic introductory games.. like going around the room & having each student state an adjective with the same first letter as their first name that will adequately describe them. "Hi, I'm Jaded Jenny."

I'm an INFJ. Been an avid reader of this forum for quite some time now. Finally decided to create my own account. The varying perspectives of all Types, and just people in general, on the most basic or complex topics is endlessly fascinating to me. I love watching people interact, though I'm hesitant to toss my personal tokens into live group discussions, as well as online ones, until I feel I've reached a certain level of comfort/understanding of the group's dynamic, if that makes sense. I love learning what in particular makes the little cogs in every individual's head turn, and I seem to have a knack for finding/evaluating/resolving those odds & ends that tumble about in our psychological machinery and gum up the works at times. Gives insight to my own, as well. I guess I'm sort of the guidance counselor amongst my friends. I'm the one who they call for emotional support and advice; I always feel strange giving it. Though I have some innate sense of responsibility for the people I'm close to, I don't feel comfortable with the idea of overtly directing others how to live their lives, and I realize that everyone has different learning preferences and emotional/cognitive wiring, so what makes a connection and sparks and sense for me may not for another person. But it is, without a doubt, incredibly fulfilling to help out friends/family..et cetera... to aid in uncovering their potential to define their passions/do personally productive & authentic things with their time on this plane of existence, and try in so many ways to show them how to raise their self esteem on their own, through developing brighter outlooks on life via more constructive thinking processes that are typically the result of assessing and contradicting maladaptive ones... so I often catch myself playing therapist or lifecoach with them, in spite of my aforementioned reservations.... it can become a [self-induced] drain on my psyche if I'm not careful & fail to get some alone downtime. Reading, cleaning and rocking out to music when no one's home, superlong baths, which tends to incorporate music and reading.. til the water goes cold.. or curled up in bed with the cat, music, and books[scifi/fantasy horror fiction, various comics, or poetry, history, philosophy... within minutes of opening a book my mind sets up a full-length film reel; I love it] or movies...

I'm rambling now... well..it is 5am. Close to my bedtime.
Guess I ought to conclude this thing.
So I've been here awhile. Finally have the guts to say hello, and I look forward to discussing, well, anything with you. I've got a dry, cynical [and on occasion just completely bizarre or painfully cheesey] sense of humor, but I'm harmless, I promise.
