    Default This is me introducing myself, so hello.

    Hi everyone, this is my first post on the forum and I hope that subscribing here turns out to be interesting.

    I'm not sure if the MBTI theory is really nonsense but I find it very interesting. I'm very curious about human behavior and especially what's happening behind the scenes. I think my type is INFP but sometimes I relate strongly to Ni. So who knows, maybe I find some answers or at least a little more insight to that subject from here.

    Hmm, what would I tell about myself... This is difficult because at this point my mind goes blank and everything I come up with is irrelevant, random and makes no sense at all. Guess I just write it here anyway. I'm: slow, indecisive, I bump into things, get lost easily, quite shy, kind, like cats, sometimes poor listener because my mind starts to wander, empathic, open-minded, like red wine and fireplaces. So, yeah, quite weird for most people.

    Besides psychology and MBTI, I'm interested in history, animal and human rights, politics and religion.

    Welcome to the forums. Like you, I identify somewhat with INFP but relate too strongly to Ni descriptions to declare it as my type for sure. Do you know your enneagram?

    Not weird. Nor is type wholly nonsense - perhaps, its applications. I find slight erring in your thought on INFP and Ni, but I am also a bit unconventional with my understanding of type.

    Welcome.

    Welcome.
    Where is the error in INFP and Ni? Apart from the fact that most recognized authors don't group those two things together?

    If you are an INFP whose life might have been difficult and introverted as a child, then you might have developed your Ni at the cost of some of your Ne. So your primary function as an INFP would be Fi, followed by Ne. But if you introverted excessively, that Ne would have been turned into Ni. Fi/Ni is an interesting blend, for sure.

    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

    This got interesting.

    @Arcana: I'm not familiar with Enneagram theory. I've done a couple of tests and scored 4, 5 or sometimes 6.

    @sunyata: I know that according to the theory it's impossible to be INFP with Ni. It's like being at the both ends of the road at the same time. As I said, I think I'm INFP which makes me Fi-Ne-Si-Te and this fits me very well. Although I'm somehow into Ni, like there's something about the Ni thought process that speaks the same language with me. Maybe it's just general N, don't know...

    But outside the MBTI box, the idea of a person who's functions are causing a syntax error is rather fascinating.
