    Default Hello.

    Hello everyone, excuse my lack of direction.
    I've recently learned the dynamics of personality types and how the cognitive functions work. Fortunately, unlike most things that my mind seems to wrap around, the MBTI is both scientific AND pleasantly sociable, which, coming to think about it, is probably the reason I'm genuinely interested in typing. I admit I'm still a noob, I just want to share a few thoughts with you.

    I took the test twice with two good friends.
    First, I was tested as an INTJ.
    Secondly, I was tested as an INFP.

    As you can imagine, reading the descriptions of INTJ and INFP was a confusing moment, ultimately raising doubt and scepticism in the accuracy of the MBTI.

    Unsatisfied, I took the test a third time, alone. I answered with complete honesty, something of which I was unable to do in the presence of my friends (which makes sense in retrospect). I cleared my mind of any 'in the moment' thoughts, and didn't let my current mood affect my result.

    There it stood - INFJ

    It's quite funny actually, I've spent years trying to figure out the universe, even though the only thing I needed to learn were those four letters. Even the daily ritual of simultaneously hiding my flame yet exposing my heat now makes sense.

    In all, I just want to speak to similar people. How is everyone?

    I remember when I first found INFJ. It was like all the pieces in my life finally meshed--the introversion, the charm, the giftedness with language, the abstract preoccupations...

    I think you'll like it here.

    Welcome! Glad you're here. I see this thread is a little old, but I hope you'll stick around.
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.
