    Looks like you are right about the face but I don't believe the Ancient Egyptians discovered humanism.

    And indeed Europe rediscovered humanism during the Renaissance which was the rebirth of Ancient Greek culture and humanism.

    It's true, I am Occidental. We trace our Occidental history back the Ancient Greeks not to the Ancient Egyptians.

    So Occidentalism is based on Ancient Greek philosophy, Judaism, Christianity and the Enlightenment.

    And Occidentalism has given us the values and the means to realise the modern world.

    But how interesting: the very word Occidentalism is now used pejoratively by the people of ressentiment.
