No worries, just said that as a general statement.
You haven't really said anything that does either, unlike Lazzy who told me she thinks I am a creep/shady person and night and days who tells me who I should or shouldn't be friends with.

I don't think their opinions should matter to you personally, they are entitled to their opinions. Their opinions aren't outlandish either, first glance it does seem creepy and not normal. I don't blame them for thinking that. All I am saying is it should not be getting to you, you shouldn't need to explain yourself. You chose to share that information and I think you knew you would receive a negative reaction. So what was the purpose of sharing such a controversial, personal detail?

You are right that it shouldn't matter, but 10 years of slander leaves you rather defensive to any kind of slander.

Tbh. I didn't think of it.
I have through my life been very happy and extremely ignorant of social standards (I mean, I asked a guy what his salary was without a sign that I understood it was rude, after which my mother tried to educate me about how rude it was to ask such a question. Tho he did answer. :P ). I often assume the best also, so when I saw this as a mature forum, I also assumed mature and intellectual capabilities would follow.
I mean, my only train of thought was "oh my, I use so many emoticons, probably that 13 year old girl's fault. :P (meaning I thought it in a more amused and happy manner)" and then I posted that.
I didn't assume people would be outraged by it, I never do. Like how I made a post about suicide on facebook and then got like 100 hate responses because some people misunderstood what I wrote or were triggered by it.

If we don't like someone here we can't insult them because it is against the rules and may lead to banning.

On the other hand, if we don't like someone here, it would be refreshing to simply to say, I don't like you. This is not against the rules.

And such refreshing honesty, said without insult, may lead to a deeper and more interesting discussion.
