    Default Hello, there!

Well, hello. I'm new, but obviously, you already know that. I'm terrible at introductions, so forgive me.

My name is Catherine, and I've been getting into typology and personality an awful lot lately. I could spend hours taking various online tests. But alas, schoolwork calls and I suppose that as a student, that's what matters most right now.

In my spare time, when I am not studying (and not taking too many typology tests), I am usually either reading (science fiction or biographies, for the most part), writing (short stories and poetry), or playing the piano (classical repertoire, pop/rock arrangements, and original compositions). Sounds a bit boring to a fair amount of people, but it works for me.

I suppose I don't know what else to say...so that's it for me.

I've also been playing piano (guitarist mainly) a lot recently (mainly playing over jazz heads and some classical pieces for guitar) and considering getting lessons (I started dabbling in piano a couple of years ago but never considered taking it further), which I can transfer the knowledge to saxophone playing. Whats some of the latest stuff you've been practicing? I'd like to hear your compositions too

    And welcome

There. After two replies to people who were not the OP...hopefully this time I've done it right. If you're bad at introductions, I'm absolutely abysmal at responding to them.

As I was trying to say, writing, composing, and reading are objectively unboring past-times, and that science has been done to prove this. What sort of stories do you write, if you don't mind my asking?

Wow, that sounds pretty awesome! I'm practicing some early advanced (I'd like to think it's early advanced? I haven't had a teacher in a while...) repertoire on piano: Bach's Italian Concerto, Chopin preludes, mainly. I'm working on some Bach violin sonatas as well. I'm pretty self-conscious about my compositions, but here is my most recent one.

Thank you! My username is an Italian term commonly used in music to mean "sustained".

Ah, I suppose it's a habit, then, of over-thinking my introductions on websites such as these. To be honest, I don't write short stories very often. I used to write a bunch of fanfiction for various fandoms, usually romantic dramas...but now, I'm moving in the direction of young adult dystopian literature instead.
