Default Hi everybody, my name is...

Nomad and I'm an alco . . . *cough* "male ENfp".

    A Little About Me

    - Previously believed I was an eNtp, but saw that I was Fi/Te not Ti/Fe.
    - This incorrect self-assessment was likely due to a variety of factors: British/American school system & culture with strict emphasis on gender roles and TvF, well developed Te due to use in academia,
    and

    Why I'm Here

    - Seeking penance from our rationalist and idealist colleagues (NP) and overseers (NJ) for past rogue ENFP behaviors. Especially the shy introverts. You know I love you. I'm super serial. Honest.
    - To better understand myself and others.
    - To procrastinate.

    Welcome to the forum.

Also, some typology help, classical Enneagram dictates that wings are types adjacent to your core type. If you are a type 7, you can either be a 7w6 (a 7 that acts 6-ish) or a 7w8 (a 7 that acts 8-ish), Type 1 could instead make up your gut fixation.

Thank you @Nights and Days, @Alea_iacta_est, and @five sounds!

@Alea_iacta_est, I read up on Enneagram trying to understand your point. Not quite sure what you mean by "gut fixation", is this referring to the process of integration and disintegration?
FYI Enneagram is new to me.

Enneagram is divided into three types/fixes

    2, 3, 4 = Heart fix
    1, 8, 9 = Gut fix
    5, 6, 7 = Head fix

You have a tri-type, consisting of one of each of these fixes. You have a "core" fix which is your main type. For example, my core type is 6, with a 5 wing. Followed by two other fixes going from strongest to weakest.

    Warning: Complexity

Gut fix is a component of a less favored but highly intriguing Enneagram structure called "Tritype" or "Trifix", which suggests that you possess a core type along with two other subordinate types in the heart triad (2, 3, 4, motivated by the emotion shame), head triad (5, 6, 7, motivated by the emotion anxiety), and the gut triad (8, 9, 1, motivated by the emotion anger).

Take for example, you as a 7. You are motivated by anxiety and are thus in the "Head Triad". 7 is your dominant Enneatype/Personality, but you also have a wing that highlights what kind of 7 you look like (7w6 is more anxiety prone and safety oriented like a 6, 7w8 is more aggressive and domineering like an 8) and two other types in the other triads to explain your "coping mechanism", other quirks of your personality, and how you deal with shame (heart triad) and anger (gut triad). Basically it personalizes the categories more and attempts to account for most of the details in your personality.

There are some generic descriptions of each of the 27 trifixes here.

    No problem.

That's just the basics, though. Have fun figuring the rest out. Enjoy your stay.
