    Default Hello Personality Scientists!

My name's Hugh but on here I'm known as blurry. I don't really know why, I think I like the sound of it - plus there was a song called Blurry by Puddle of Mudd that I quite liked back in the day (although I have since outgrown my head banging phase...for the most part)...

I'm joining because I foresee it being great to be in a cool community of people who share my interest in personalities, psychology, spirituality, self-growth, and figuring out what makes people *tick*.

I haven't done as much research into MBTI as the enneagram, but am getting into it more and more. It's fascinating finding out one's functions, I must say. But I'm more well versed in enneagram theory. My favourite book on the enneagram (maybe my favourite book ever) is called the Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram by Sandra Maitri - and although it's main purpose is to see the personality as something which isn't the final reality to Life (as it were), it goes into all aspects of the different types, and it's been an invaluable tool for myself to learn both about how I am and what makes other people do what they do.

Oh, and I'm an ENFJ as far as I can tell, and a type 2w3 on the enneagram.

Looking forward to meeting you all!!

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

Welcome, @blurry! Don't worry about it, enneagram is better anyway.

    Thanks for the replies!

I've grown to like the name Hugh too in recent years...when I was younger I thought it was such an unusual name I didn't like it so much...but there's something cool about having an uncommon name.

Although there's probably a limit to these things - there's a legend in my family of how my father wanted to name me Octavius. Which would have caused challenges at times haha. Although I would have loved it during my Spider-man phase...
