    Default New ISTP (I think)

    Hello!

My name is Anna and I from Russia. My English is not better so sorry about this.

I find out about personality types by google three days ago so I take some tests and it say I am ISTJ in two and ISTP in one. I am start to think I am really ISTP now because ISTJ descriptions not like me at all. I think it is interesting subject.

Welcome to the forum (even though I already talked to you over on your other thread).

I can read some Russian, but I definitely can't speak it, it's weird.

ISTPs take apart things (Ti + Se)

INTPs take apart ideas and possibilities (Ti + Ne)

An ISTP is usually very athletic and is very good with their hands
An INTP is usually very book-smart* and is very good at seeing patterns and creating ideas.

*both types can be smart, the INTP is more idea-smart and the ISTP is more common sense smart

I have some both. I like to take apart things like telescopes and televisions - it something to do. But I take apart ideas for best one.

I am very athletic (I want to professional tennis player) but I think I very smart too. I do very good at school.

That's cool, I play tennis too, though nowhere near professionally.

    Here's the main differences

INTP : Ti Ne Si Fe (Introverted Thinking, Extroverted Intuiting, Introverted Sensing, and Extroverted Feeling)
ISTP : Ti Se Ni Fe (Introverted Thinking, Extroverted Sensing, Introverted Intuiting, and Extroverted Feeling)

Ti + Ne = take ideas apart and build arguments and theories
Ti + Se = take things apart and build new things and inventions

The easiest way to tell the difference is that INTPs are those people that are stuck in their own head and don't pay attention to their surroundings (Ti + Ne at work), the absent-minded professor.

ISTPs will be completely aware of their environment and very coordinated.

Not sure how good your English is, but this video is the best explanation:
