My guess is that he tests as infp in Mbti but enfp in socionics.
Hope he watches this thread. He needs some explaining to do. Ok maybe if I ask nicely

MBTI INFP => INFj (or maybe INFx) http://www.sociotype.com/socionics/types/EII-INFj/
MBTI INFJ => INFp (or maybe INFx) http://www.sociotype.com/socionics/types/IEI-INFp/

neither has Ne as a Dom function, so what gives?

INFPs translate to INFjs (EII) in Socionics. Subtypes are formed depending on which one of your top two functions you have the most value for, leading or creative. In theory, anyway.

I test as INFp (IEI) in Socionics, (INFJ in MBTI) But I never go by tests. Way too unreliable. I just go by the functions.

What is a commis chef? I have heard of sous... but commis sounds like you wear a lot of red and sing Russian songs.
    Nyet!

A better term for a commis chef is "kitchen bitch." Prepare all the food for service, run around carrying a shitload of ladles and maybe, (just maybe,) you can manage your own section when everyone else is busy. Never mains though. It's all about working your way up the hierarchy so you can be classified as chef de partie, then sous chef, then head chef. It's all about trust, man. or, "gotta crawl before you ball," as some might say.
