    Default INFJ male checking in...

    Hello!

I haven't explored the forums all that much yet, but I joined because I heard that the crowd here is a bit more mature than what you might find on some of the other sites. I've been interested in personality type for a year and a half or so, and was blown away when I read the description for INFJ after doing my first test. I'm still learning and trying to memorize all the functions, though I think I have a decent understanding of the ones that apply to my type.

I'm finding it difficult to get other people I know interested in this stuff, which is really frustrating! So I'm pretty psyched to meet some different types here.

    See you on the forums!

...and there's a reason for that. it's an internal set of jargon that works within the bubble of typology communities, but outside of it, uses existing terms to mean altogether other things. stop confusing your poor friends.

    Where did you hear this?
'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
    Piglet was comforted by this.

How does one earn the title of INFJ slayer, and what is your weapon of choice used to slay said INFJs? Now I'm curious.

I read it when I was looking up reviews of this forum. I think the person might have meant that the crowd here is a bit older, on average. That's what I meant by mature.

    Chronologically, that's probably true.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

People do reviews of forums? Mind sending me a link to this? Sounds interesting.
