    Default Older retired male INTP

    Folk:
I'm Geoff. Been interested in the MBTI since introduced to it by a very fine ENFP woman about 25 years ago. It's what I call DEscriptive rather than PREscriptive and right up a typical INTP's alley. But I'm not a typical INTP and I'm here to browse, look for other people's experiences, and to try to understand my own shadow which you will understand is hard since my T & F functions are almost equal. I've always got on best with IF women - all three serious relationshps I've had have been with ISFP or ISFJ types. I'm a well defined NP, my I over E is *profoundly* I, and very few people get to see my dominant Ti. Thank goodness for the internet :-)

TypeC eh? OK you got me. Make me a rugby outfit and it would be green & white hoops with green shorts which, for a Manawatu resident, is highly appropriate. The socks would be ... hmmmm ... cyan I think. Blue might be intellectual but sadly impersonal and lacking empathy with others. I could stretch a point and go for cyan shorts as well. Red & black? No thanks - again - highly appropriate given they are Canterbury rugby colours!

With a bit of luck I might even learn something from them :-)

Very good. My life has been littered with examples of things (usually computer software/database tweaks) I couldn't do for myself but when I discovered they were actually NEEDED by someone else I was able to oblige.

no one here seems to understand that.
most of them also think that functions act as lone anthropomorphic beings.

    it's weird.

    Hi Zelo!

Welcome to the forum! I'm glad to see you will add to our age and geographic diversity here. We should have enough Aussies and Kiwis and others in that time zone to keep you busy when you're up.
