    Default Hi

    Hi people :)

    I got here after googling low vs high self monitoring, a term I read in an article on another forum. Google found old typologycentral archive post. And I got to read that people talked about being put into different types.

    I still have no idea if everybody found their types in online tests before posting.
    And I get the feeling there are several tests not just one, after reading my forum registration application.

    But I have taken personlity online tests from time to time (I think the first one I can hazily remember was at 13 or so and now I'm 23) and the only thing that haven't changed is my I. I've been Istp, Intj, Istj, Infj, at least I think so, I've written some (maybe two) of the results down, but they got lost and I forgot. It just mattered how I felt and what I thought at the time and guess my answers just became different.

    The one result that seems to repeat itself is Istp then Istj and recently I had Intj and others happen rarely from time to time. :o

    Could anybody reccomend the site you did your testing done, or did you all just fill in online tests?

    I think most people did online tests like this one:

    ^at least I remember this being one of the most popular tests back when I took it.
    For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

    Thanks

    Did it and got Istj. Guess that's what I am now. Funny how T seems to be the most unstable rather than J.

    I know there are better ones out there but this is a good starting point

    Not taken that befor about 5 minutes ago. Came up with INFP... i'm definately an extrovert though but i do keep getting INFP recently... i think it's because i'm enjoying chill time at home ...reading...internetting...working...general familying and housying ... -- and not fussed about socialising much.

    @21%

    Thanks! :p I've seen that site already. I think I've done test on there too.

    It mostly fits. I am awfully law abiding and usually keep promises even though I sometimes hate it. But once, about three-four years ago, I just couldn't keep a promise even though it was not my fault and since then breaking promises has gotten a bit easier. Even if I feel a bit bad about that. So I try to never promise anything.

    I also have started to learn to lie, after learning that other people do it everyday and it does make life easier. I can't believe I thought all people were nice for a very long time. Haha. But I don't lie often and don't like it too much.

    But I have taken a lot of tests and some parts of them do fit too. :s Just read the other descriptions and you'll see some parts just fit everybody.

    I just have never seen much difference between other factors than E and I. They all seem pretty balanced, so it's hard to tell which one fits more. But I guess as my most often results are istp and istj, it makes it a battle between p and j. And I can really relate to istp too. Meh. So confusing. o.O

    @HelenOfTroy
    Haha. Feels nice to be welcomed.

    however, im sure that you can be able to determine your type without the site she is advertising.
