Stumbled onto these forums in one of my self-searching moods so ... saying hi from Down Under. I'm a 19-yr old male INFJ who is:
- A huge sci-fi fantasy geek
- Loves computer games of all sorts for their stories and interaction
- Watches too many films for his own good
- Is in a the early years of a dental course where in order from going insane with science overload, has to delve into the above.
- A wannabe casual photographer and animator
- Can't small-talk to save his life
- Is seemingly aloof and withdrawn but really is not
- A Leo, Year of the Dragon (Earth)
- Enjoys solitude
Whoa what a warm welcome! I just got back from clinic (it's late night here) and it's a pleasure to meet you all
To Dana: As we're virtually the same in terms of the Zodiacs and age, we can test whether we're alike and yes you have claimed me first! I live to serve :P
To Silently Honest: That's another coincidence - do you and Dana know each other?
To Aelen: Yes, nice observation my alias came from the mood (sometimes contradictory, sometimes melancholic, sometimes bittersweet) that ones sees in seeing a rainbow on a rainy, wet, windy day
To Delirious: I don't know whether to smile or run away :P
To Tovlo: Your avatar is thoughtful and intriguing. Is that Venice and is there a story behind it?
To AllAboutSoul: Hiya! Do you mind me asking what is the Maverick's Biker Club?
To Falcarius: The rabbit is awesome - after all he appeared as one of my favourite Warner Bro's cartoon - Bugs Bunny
To Mort: Hey! Say what? :P
To Heart: I hope cancelling your dental appt didn't cause you any problems and I hope your headache is better as well.
To Geoff: By Ashes you mean cricket? :P (because if there are then I'm afraid I must apologise for being ignorant - sports isn't really my thing)
To Journey: 1980 or 1992? (Or am I totally off?)
And finally to Nadir: Greetings, Death of the Endless
Hey brother! We sort of miss you -- Daniel's a nice enough fellow and all, I suppose, but terribly formal. In a way he's even more uptight about his "duties" than you are, but at least doesn't blow up everytime Desire happens to rattle his bone-box -- not that he has reason to anymore with you gone and your love life alongside -- just sits there disapproving.
Hehehe, well, there's actually one more person on this board who has a Death avatar, though that one's from "The Kindly Ones" -- never did like that series' style very much, -- and unlike me (who happens to be a 19-yr old male as well (Earth Snake, though) that one's actually female. :)
Breaking out of character I love Neil Gaiman's Sandman (the fact that he was writing the storyline and producing a comic every month is astounding) and I love Dream's byronic, brooding, anti-heroic character despite all his flaws and misgivings. Daniel, even though a better, more virtuous Dream will never be "our Dream"
For those of you that have no idea what we're talking about - it's a graphic novel series that's absolutely awesome. Quoting a critic, "it's about stories, where they come from and how they shape us, and how we shape them".
