Thread: Hello

    Default Hello

So, I recently discovered I'm an INTJ, and as cliché as it sounds, I finally get why I'm so "weird" in comparison to most people.

As a result, I've become rather fascinated with all of this MBTI stuff.

I'm not a total walking cliché though... I'm actually an animation student, which is, according to what I've read, an unlikely profession for an INTJ to pursue. Though my reasoning will probably make sense: In an applied arts related field, animation allows you to develop enough variation in skill to be able to do a variety of different things. It's one of the most technical forms of art which requires one to be as masterful as possible. Also, it provides the most job security out of anything else art-related, other than teaching.

    Enough of my blabber...

    Welcome!
Discovering you are INTJ must be quite a shock, expecially if you don't really fit the cliché... ?

    Oooh, female INTJ.

And I totally agree with the assessment of animatinon -- as far as technical aspect, mastery, and variation. It's included in the Film/TV program at many schools but is also grouped with art and computer science.

Don't you just love being Ni dominant? Sometimes it feels like a birth-defect to me.

On the other hand, a lot of people I know are jealous of some aspects of my personality--I am guessing school has been enjoyable (for the most part) for you, too.

Anyway, welcome to our MBTI community!

Is that your picture in your avatar?

If so, it looks like we have an attractive INTJ in our midst.

Thanks guys! If you notice any inconsistencies, the answer is yes, I did change my username... for personal reasons.

mippus: actually, it was. I actually read through all of the other types and definitely do not match those descriptions. I even took the tests at about 5 different websites. I guess I'm just a really mild intj? My introversion preference is always less than 20%... last time i checked, it was 11%

OctaviaCaesar: Oh man, the dominant Ni can be SUCH a pain. This is especially true when I don't want something to get complicated, but I myself make it so. I get what you mean about people being jealous about some aspects of the INxJ personality. I seem to have my "shit together". School was very enjoyable. High school was somewhat of a joke. It's such a system... and once I wrapped my head around it, I could basically just skip class whenever I wanted and still manage 90s and still stay on the good side of all of my teachers.

ByMySword: Hehe, yeah it's me. The orb thing was a rotation disco ball... no photoshop was used in that image! Oh, and thanks lol.

    Dana: I'm from Ontario, Canada.
