Default *detached nod* (yet another INTP)

I've been lurking a few days and was finally driven to post, so I thought making an intro post might be appropriate.

I'm female, late-40s, and a database administrator. My guilty pleasure is WoW - its such an excellent excuse to never leave the house <.< MBTI-wise, I'm really interested in developing my lesser-used functions, particularly Fe.

Brilliant: a fellow INTP that is not interested in scharpening the scharp edges of her INTP-ness, but who tries to be more complete. I look forward to your contributions!

Actually, I do. And a resto druid, as well. I like the healing role because it seems (to me, at any rate) to have the most autonomy within a group setting. I know who my targets are, and am more or less left to deal with them as I choose so long as I perform well. Healing is facilitated by the sort of close-focus attention I prefer, as well. I've tried tanking with my druid and dpsing with my priest, but in both cases I found it required too much broad situational awareness and also too much interaction/coordination with other players.

What aspects of it do you find ironic? Just the "feely" stereotype of priests/healers as caretakers? I appreciate your mentioning irony because it does make me think of how my character choice might reflect personality traits and/or be a tool for development.

There's always a need for wise, mature INTPs, especially those who enjoy developing their Fe.
