Default Trying to Recapture the Epiphany

    Hey everyone,

INFJ male here. I've been into MBTI ever since I read my type description and realized I wasn't an outlier on the personality distribution curve. It was amazing to me how the description was able to articulate areas of my personality I wasn't even aware or conscious of. It was an eye opening experience to learn I was actually a "type" of person.

Since then, I have been very interested in MBTI, but I've backed off somewhat in the last couple months. At some point in reading the endless online threads, I find there is very little that is new, and many discussions are fruitless. Still, MBTI is interesting and I can't resist the chance of being illuminated again.

Recently, a topic I've been more interested in is how romance plays out for INFJ males. Yes, INFJ females don't fit the mainstream expectations of women, but I think INFJ males have a whole set of other cultural expectations working against them.

If there is enough interest, I'd be willing to organize a tri-state area meet for the people of this forum. Let me know if you're interested!

    Hoping for some meaningful dialogue.

P.S. Feel free to check out my blog at the homepage in my profile.

Hey Ballentine, great intro. Way to throw yourself in there.

You'll find you are in good company her as there is a good number of INFJs and lots of other types as well.

I'm not in the tri-state area though I had to drive up to New York state for a regional meeting once, I freaking hate (the flippin bad drivers on) the NJ turnpike!!!!

Um, but I like this forum. I hope you like it, too.

    Welcome!

P.S. You didn't happen to attend Bronx Science or Stuyvesant, did you?

Tell me about it, I visit my friends in NJ on a regular basis and I still can't get used to the drives. The jug-handles and local highways drive me nuts, for some reason I lose any bearing on direction when I get off the freeway.

I went to Great Neck North, it's on Long Island, but I have friends from both of those schools. Has there been a regional meeting in the past?

hello and welcome. You'll find a lot of INFJs here, some of who could probably offer better insights into the minds and workings for your type.

Apart from that, there's a full spectrum of most kinds here, so, jump in, and have fun.

You sound very interesting and smart BallentineChen. I have been reading straight from the source (Jung) to further my knowledge of the processes and pin down my type, and it has been so interesting! E-books are where it's at.

    Welcome!
