    Red face Who Am I?

Hi - I'm new to figuring out all this MBTI stuff, but I love it. I think I'm an ISTJ, at least that's the one I seem to identify with the most. However, I'm not sure it fits me completely, and I do identify with characters of other profiles too. Needless to say I'm a little confused.

Here's a question...like I said, I seem to be an ISTJ, however I've found many places that say ISTJ's get bogged down in details and can't "see the big picture" and I have to say that I don't think I have trouble seeing the big picture, actually, I generally have the big picture in mind with whatever goal I'm working toward. Does that mean I'm not actually an ISTJ?

I'm glad to be here and I hope to learn a lot from everyone!

ISTJ's are definitely capable of seeing the big picture, especially those who are highly intelligent.. I always found the S-descriptions to be somewhat inaccurate in that respect.
Some important questions (from the Keirsey Temperament Sorter)

1.) Are you more observant or introspective?
2.) Is it worse to have your head in the clouds or to be in a rut?
3.) Are you more sensible or ideational?
4.) Are you more interested in what is actual or possible?
5.) Are you more speculative or factual?
6.) Do you prefer writers who say what they mean OR those who use metaphors and symbolism?
7.) Do facts speak for themselves or do they just illustrate principles?
8.) Do you consider yourself a person with common sense?
9.) Do you speak in particulars or generalities?

These are things separate Sensors from iNtuitives. It's about your preference of communication.

    1. Observant
    2. whichever one you are less happy doing =p I guess I'd choose "head in the clouds"
    3. sensible
    4. possible
    5. hmm...not sure. I think I use facts to speculate about the future.
    6. I like metaphors and symbolism as far as literature goes. I majored in English in college.
    7. facts illustrate principles
    8. Yes, lots of it.
    9. depends what I'm talking about - maybe generalities.

In case it's of interest, out of the little online tests I took, at least one said I was INTJ, but when I read their profile, it didn't sound like me overall.
