Default Another in the stream of INFJs

Hello! Another INFJ here...we seem to be drawn to this forum in unusual numbers, like iron filings to a magnet, moths to a flame, dogs to fire hydrants...

I'm a 25-year-old grant writer and part-time ESL teacher from Texas. I'm working on my Master's in Linguistics as well. I love to: read, listen to music, people watch, do yoga, scratch my dog behind her ears, and drink coffee. I hate to: empty the dishwasher, be cold, and write these introduction posts.

Alright. You may begin laying down the red carpet, etc.

Texans and INFJs, where will it end?

    Welcome.

I bet aelan has given up on keeping a list with so many big eyed, furry critters running around.

    Welcome!

I hope this isn't too abrupt, but...

I am wondering...how often do you actually get the grants you write proposals for?

    Is it hard to learn?

Kiddo- I know! Multiple Texans, too! Odd since I haven't run into a lot of INFJs floating around the Lone Star State.

nightning- I hope there's not another phoenix avatar about because if there is, I'll have to put a little top hat on mine or something to distinguish him. He doesn't like hats. Either that or I'll have to pit him against the others in a cock-fight style throwdown, and I think phoenix-fighting has been outlawed in 49 out of 50 states...it's just cruel.

ygolo- I'd say I get about 70% of the grants I write, but I write for a large, urban school district that is considered "high needs." Makes it a little easier. No, it's not hard to learn, especially if you have any sort of research or writing background. I had a little technical writing experience in college, and that was all I needed (well, that and some common sense).

Your career and pursuits sound interesting and worthwhile. Also I like kites (The diamond-shaped things on strings. I don't know too much about the bird kind.)

    Welcome! Hope you enjoy!
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

welcome, Kite! The bird or the one with the pink bowties on a string?

Yes Kiddo, I've lost track of the INFJs. They're running amok over this place, and the Texan 'uns are terrifying.

Kite, you can look out for ByMySword. A kite with a knight should be fun to watch.
