    Default Well, I'm here.

Howdy, I was referred here by Skip Foreplay, my best friend. He's the one that got me into typology and whatnot. I'm an INTP, actually an INXP, but more of a T than F. Anyway, I'm a college student, a history major. I like history, military history to be exact, military technology, aircraft, music, technology, and vintage electronics.

Welcome Wespe, there seems to be a lot of INTPs here to keep you company. What kind of vintage electronics do you like?

I'm a fan of vintage audio equipment. I've got a stereo setup made of a hodge-podeg of thrift store buys. A Rotel FAX-550A receiver from 1969 is what it's all connected to, a Technics SL-DL5 linear tracking direct drive turntable from 1982 plays all my records(I'm getting a new stylus for it later this week for my birthday!), a Yamaha K-220 tape deck from 1985, and two floor mount Polk speakers...I haven't dated them, but they seem to be new-ish, though they're quite used. They sound great, though! I have a big collection of records and tapes to enjoy, so that's a lot of fun, though I don't have my tape deck down here at college with me. I also like old computers and operating systems.

Cool. I've been thinking about cobbling together a vintage turntable system, myself. There was a great, probably '70 wood console with built in speakers, turntable and record storage that I had to pass up on. I have a C64 system setup in my living room right now.

The worst mistake people make in political arguments is assuming that the other side is not trying to do the right thing. This simple oversight makes productive conversation nearly impossible.
