Welcome! Dang, sorry to hear about the Lyme disease. I had to squeeze a tick off me as a kid and afterwards I became very paranoid when I went "into nature". I also have a scuba diving license, the oceon's the one place you don't have to worry about ticks (but do have to worry about all the other creepy crawlies that might latch onto you, including sharks...)
I agree with Whatever, those puppies are quite cute. My brother's Havanese puppy is also cute and keeps me company while I type on the forums. (Actually he sleeps and occasionally I bother him and then he moves)
For a welcome bash, you're cordially invited to vicariously crash my CA party in the 'graveyard' section. Your Texan friends are already there, shooting the place up.
Yup, one girl! But her brothers have the mentality "Nobody can pick on my little sister... except me."
CzeCze, I popped in to your CA thread... left a little note. Thanks for the invite!
I only saw a shark once while scuba-ing (thank goodness it didn't see me), but it's the eels that creep me out! And jellyfish. Actually, I was in a white-water rafting accident when I was a teenager and almost drowned, and then developed a fear of deep water. So I forced myself to get scuba certified in the hopes of overcoming that fear. It didn't really work!! It is kind of peaceful though.
Thanks again for all the welcomes and well-wishes!
