You could start a thread in What's My Type if you are unsure about your S/N, J/P.

In my opinion Js are decisive and regimented.

Perceivers are free spirited, open ended and exploratory.

In fact your question seemed very P to me. A J would have probably phrased the question as such:

In your opinion what is the difference between J versus a P?

    Notice the decisive flow.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what I am talking about.

I wouldn't bother much with trying to use the letters to categorize yourself.

INFJ and ESTJ are about as different as they get. They're not shadow types, but seriously...

It would probably be best if you threw some stuff down on the page about your habits, if you're aware of them.

I'm inclined to agree with the I and T that CC said so far.

Welcome to the forum CaptainNick. You don't see many INTPs with self portraits (at least I assume that's what it is) for their avatars.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Hence my disclaimer. Nevertheless as usual he's correct. The preference are cumulative. Each type is a very distinct entity.

My habits, as I can describe them (ie: today): I woke up, fucked around on the computer and did some work (I'm a freelancer)...cleaned my atrocious room because I'm expecting a guest this weekend, reheated some food, gave love to my cat, and searched (with great desperation) for a book I can't find (but suddenly felt I needed) among thousands of books in milk crates on my living room wall. Ummm...what else?

Keep going. INTP sounds plausible so far. It's more likely than ISTP doesn't sound impossible either.

Why did you suddenly feel you needed the book?

    Got anything more broad?
