Default The Fieldmarshal (ENTJ), on a mission

Hello all, I'm A. Zhang. In this post, I will explain who I am, and why I signed up.

Like all ENTJs, I am rational and assertive. I am also a junior in high school, with a curriculum full of AP courses (challenging, but never overwhelming).

My purpose of joining this forum is that I am gathering resources for an AP statistics project that involves surveying the school for overall MBTI trait frequencies. This project is still in it's idea/foundling state, and I am still trying to envision how it will proceed, and who I want in my team.

I would like to know the MBTI in much greater detail, with emphasis on each individual trait (how they work, how they manifest, comparisons, etc.)

On a separate note, if anyone happens to possess resources on type dynamics and shadow functions, I would be interested in looking into those as well.

Hey, welcome. Hope you enjoy your stay! Just be sure to go to a college that will accept your AP class credits.

Here are some great websites for MBTI theory-

Best-Fit Type : Exploring the Multiple Models of Personality Type
    4temperaments.com -- Understanding Temperament Theory
    Understanding Berens' Interaction Styles
Understanding the Eight Jungian Cognitive Processes / Eight Functions Attitudes

A word of caution is to find a good test. A lot of tests are complete crap and won't score people well.

    Hey, thanks for the resources!

I'm thinking of making my own quiz, although I doubt my abilities to write them, considering I've never done it before.

The funny thing I've found about the site is that, although there's a common interest (personality), discussion goes on about any subject, not just personality traits. I might stick around if I feel like I need some intellectual stimulation.

No problemo! At least you have the legit sources... A lot of people's understanding of MBTI is complete crap; based on really stereotypical stuff (and usually mixed the the enneagram types most common with them as well). Those sites, however, are the real thing. Another thing that might interest you is the "on a team" profiles of each type; since you mentioned building a team of some sort. My suggestion would be- ENTJ, ISFJ, ESFP, INTJ for a well balanced team.

And yeah that's just about the only reason I stick around nowadays. Social stuff; and the intellectual stimulation.

    Thanks for the welcomes guys!

BlackCat. I took a look at that resource. Very interesting, I've never seen a complete resource dedicated solely to MBTI and team building.

ENTJ, ISFJ, ESFP, INTJ for a well balanced team.
So, I fill the ENTJ part. I only know one INTJ and he doesn't go to my school. The other two should be fairly easy to find.

    Thanks for the advice!
